In The Meantime . . . [[unMastered]]

It's been a long time coming, but local VA 757 artist, Vizion, has finally released his first mixtape. Entitled 'In The Meantime . . .' because of the hold on what was supposed to be his first mixtape 'The Gentleman' mixtape. On this tape he displays lyricism in a variety of ways. Recording to an eclectic mix of music, it appeals to everyone. His lyrics are witty, intelligent, comical, informative, and uplifting. From old school hip hop [[I Rock]], upbeat party [[I Get It In]], to songs for the ladies [[My Lady, Your Love]]. All-in-all, Vizion is representing the 757 well and is an artist already on the rise.

CloudNyne x Starlyne

So CloudNyne is broadening its ventures from not only creating fashion, but also music. CloudNyne recently has formed a long-term collaboration with local music label,Starlyne, which is headed by CloudNyne's co-CEO, Saeed Holmes. CloudNyne and Starlyne will be releasing a mixtape entitled, Starlyne x CloudNyne presents 'In The Meantime . . . ' [[unMastered]]. The mixtape is by Saeed who's rap alias is Vizion. The mixtape consists of 12 tracks which shows the diversity of the artist whether it's soulful hip hop, club music, or storytelling. All-in-all it is inspirational music. In the track 'Truth of Me' he says,"I ain't going nowhere I'm paralyzed in the music, inspiration and hip hop realizing the fusion's in-, side of my soul im stimulizing a new sense..." Representing VA and the 757 in a way to make the state proud, CloudNyne and Starlyne knows that with this and fashion, they will change the world!

Lena Horne...We'll Miss You.

Lena Horne was an amazing singer, actress, and dancer. She recently passed away May 9, 2010, less than two months before her 93rd birthday. You may remember her from her role in 'Cabin In The Sky' or her beautiful song 'Stormy Weather'. In the 1950's she graced her presence on many television shows such as: 'Sesame Street', 'The Muppet Show', 'The Cosby Show' amongst others. Her one-woman Broadway triumph Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, which ran for 333 performances between 1981 and 82 and won Horne a special Tony Award, was also video-taped and broadcast on television. She was also a civil rights activist fighting against racial segregation. The world has a lost another great American entertainer. Lena Horne, you will truly be missed.

He's Not Afraid.

Eminem is back with a new single from his upcoming album Recovery called, 'Not Afraid'. Stating he's done with accents and from now on he's being more serious and focused. If this single is a foreshadow for the album, this looks like another classic in the making. We've all seen the Relapse, now we just wait for the Recovery.
